Electric or electronic joysticks produced since 1997 are virtually all compatible with YACHT CONTROLLER. This extensive compatibility guarantees an optimal sailing experience, regardless of the year of manufacture and brand of your joysticks, which may be different from those of your engines.
Each YACHT CONTROLLER is specially designed to adapt to your control station. For example, VOLVO PENTA electronics differ considerably between 1999 EDCs and 2021 EVC 2.0s, as do MAN/MTU joysticks, which incorporate more complex electronics.
Before being installed, each joystick is rigorously tested at the factory, so that the YACHT CONTROLLER’s electronics are recognized as a second or third control station on board your boat, by the joystick management electronics center.
An agreement has been signed with REXROTH BOSCH, the main supplier of your joysticks, and renewed in 2016 with the AVENTICS group, which exclusively equips MAN and NANNI DIESEL engines and its MAREX ECS joysticks. These agreements testify to the quality and compatibility of YACHT CONTROLLER with a wide range of joysticks.
Several verification tests, carried out by IMQ (Telecommunications & Telematics for transports Lab.), have approved the various YACHT CONTROLLER systems according to joystick brands.
